Many embassies are located in Roppongi, which makes it a very popular living area for foreigners. Huge redevelopment projects in recent years like the Izumi Garden Tower, Roppongi Hills or Tokyo Midtown gave this district an additional boost. A must-see for art lovers are The National Art Center, Mori Art Museum and Suntory Museum of Art.

History
In 1923 during the Great Kanto Earthquake Roppongi was completely destroyed and the same happened in the bombings of World War 2. After the war the United States Army and allies took over some facilities of the district. This was the starting point of the huge number of foreigners stayed in this area.

Roppongi District is located within the Minato-ku (ward) in Tokyo.

- Roppongi Station is served by Hibiya Subway Line, Oedo Subway Line
- 5-10min from Roppongi Station to Roppongi Hills

April
Great Japan Beer Festival (26th-28th)
Over 120 different craft beers waiting for you. Try to taste as much as you can:) The festival is located in the Tokyo MidTown Hall.
August
Roppongi Hills Bon Odori (19th till 21st)
A huge festival with many people wearing yukata (summer kimono). Enjoy the Bon Odori dance and the good food. Bon Odori is a dancing style performed during Obon.
September
Roppongi ARK Hills Aki Matsuri
Bon Odori (Bon dance) starts at around 6:00 pm. Enjoy the food stands and the sound of drums.
