"During my visit to the Himeji Castle in the middle of the cherry blossom season I saw this very old sakura tree. Just imagine what stories this tree could tell us about the history of this place starting with its foundation in 1346, the 48 successive daimyos (lords) who have lived here, the big fire in 1882 and so much more. I took my time the explore the whole area of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and enjoyed every minute of it."
