"On my way to Aomori in the northern part of Honshu, I had the chance to visit the beautiful Towada Lake. It is the largest caldera lake on the main island. I started there my hiking tour along the Oirase-gawa River through untouched nature. The area gets popular during the autumn season when the color of the leaves turns red, yellow, and orange. It is comparable to the Indian summer in Canada."
