Yokohama Harbour
My 100 Best Moments in Japan - 47/100gateway to the world
"I have spent countless hours along the waterfront in Yokohama. It is a cosmopolitan spot with many tourists and a relaxing atmosphere. Just a perfect place for an afternoon stroll. In the picture, you can see happy seagulls and the Hikawa Maru, an old passenger ship serving as a museum now. The real growth of the area started when the harbour opened its gates for foreign trade in 1858. The Yokohama Harbour is now one of the largest and busiest in Japan."
