"I took this picture on my way to the Kansai Airport near Osaka. Kansai International Airport (KIX) was built on an artificial island and is connected via a 3km long bridge with the mainland. To see this engineering masterpiece up close was really impressive. In recent years the whole structure had to withstand big earthquakes and typhoons."
